Amber Ale (alc 3.4% abv)
A balanced ale with spices, gooseberry and a bitter finish with a long ginger twist. Refreshingly different. The name comes from a Copperhead (‘Copperheid’ in Scots) which is a piece of ‘aid climbing’ kit, famous on scary routes up El Capitan in California’s Yosemite.
Mountain: Our head brewer was climbing Beinn Ime on a mild Easter Sunday. After passing through a cloud inversion above Loch Lomond, he could see all the way from Arran to Ben Nevis. When the weather turned unseasonably hot he really wanted a beer like Copperheid – light and refreshing with a ginger twist.
